I have 2001 Eurotech, it has Detroit S 60 and 18 speed Eaton Fuller. All has been great untill recently :- when empty, bob tail especially, there is a noise comming from forward left side area of engine (i think) when I slow down. At first I thought it was the guard around the Horton fan (as it does sound like plastic vibrating) but no. I work mainly out of the Ports , so carry a variety of weights and a fair bit of city work ( Side loaders, Pockets etc).
Everything else is fine , it pulls well and there are no other noises when driving.
the noise does stop when I push the clutch in when slowing ( I am hoping it is not the gear box)
Any ideas???

Hi Dave,
When it comes to your vehicle – iveco eurotech and the engine / gear box noise that you describe it might be as simple as a worn out or noisy clutch bearing, you might even want to check correct grade of gear box oil- or even the oil level.
Other possible issues may be a loose – or noisy bearing at the engine belt area.
Is your water pump bearing notchy?
When you press the clutch you instantly drop the revs of the engine, you need to figure out if the reduction of engine revs silences the noise- or if in fact its the simple depression of the clutch thats mnuffles the noise, this will help in the diagnostics of your issue.
I hope I have helped if you require further assistance feel free to contact me on
